Nowadays, it seems that almost everyone in this entire earth knows what is Covid-19. This is a deadly virus that first blew up in Wuhan, China back in December 2019. Since then, it went on to infect more people and caused so many deaths. In fact, almost all countries in this world were affected by this virus. Covid-19 had infected millions of people worldwide and also had caused thousands of deaths since its first emergence. Not just that, it also affects almost the entire aspects of life. This is what prompted the World Health Organization (WHO) to announce this virus infection as a pandemic. This pandemic has made us suffer a lot. A lot of people have lost their job because companies need to shut down, the children have lost their time to get a proper education, so many nations experience a downturn in their economic field and many more. This virus infection needs to stop, and there is only one possible solution that can work wonders. The need of the corona virus vaccine is the most important thing during this pandemic.
Back in May 2020, it was announced that the only solution that can help to fight and eradicate this pandemic for good is Covid-19 vaccine. Since then, scientists and researchers have spent many months doing their best to develop the cure. Finally, in late 2020, it was announced to the world that Covid-19 vaccines are being tested and will be ready to be distributed. In fact, it was distributed to almost all the countries in this world in early January after vaccine companies had finished their production. Since then, many people, especially the frontlines, have got their vaccine shot. It was known that this vaccine can help to save our life and protect against the Covid-19 deadly infection. Some of us may have not received the vaccine yet. Some even went and claimed that these vaccines are not enough and some will not be able to get it. The question is, will all of us get the vaccine? Is it compulsory to get the vaccine shot? Can I skip the vaccination and refuse it?
To answer these questions, it is actually not compulsory to take the vaccine. In fact, the decision will be depending on our government’s decision. Many countries decided to let the people decide their own choice. This means that most of the countries are letting the people choose whether they want to get vaccinated or not. It is simply a freedom of choice. However, is it a wise choice to refuse and not get vaccinated? We all know that these vaccines were developed in order to help us fight the infection. Hence, refusing to get vaccinated will obviously expose yourself to the danger of Covid-19 infection.
According to statistics, vaccines that were produced are actually very good in fighting this pandemic. Vaccines such as Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson have 95%, 94.1% and 80% against severe infection respectively. These numbers show that these vaccines are quite effective. While it is not always compulsory to sign up for the vaccination program and get vaccinated, it is almost a crime to choose not to get vaccinated. Getting this vaccine will not just save our own life, it can also save others life by aiming to achieve the so-called herd immunity. It is up to you whether you want to take the vaccine or not, however you must think about the consequences before making any decision. Remember, getting vaccinated is the only solution to help protect against this infection.
